Android Fitness Accessories

The devices in this section can connect to most recent variants of Android smartphones and tablets. These wireless fitness accessories connect directly to your smartphone / tablet and provide added functionality to your preferred fitness APP. For example, you may want to add heart rate monitoring and pedal cadence to your Strava cycling APP. To achieve this simply add a Bluetooth heart rate sensors and a Bluetooth speed/cadence sensor.

Android connected Wearables

If you have an Android smartphone and want to extend the functionality of your phone to your watch then you should consider one of the Android Wear powered smartphones. There are several on the market the best known being the Moto 360 Sport. However, what I am interested in is the best truly SPORTS focused Wearable Tech watches. At present, that is the Polar M600 (reviewed here). Powered by Android Wear OS the M600 is a 24/7 activity tracker with built-in GPS and off the wrist heart rate. The M600 has dedicated sports profiles for dozens of sports from running and biking to kayaking and mountaineering.

If you have an iOs device please pop over to the iPhone & iPad fitness accessories reviews section.

  • A Brief History…

It all started in 1996. As a sports science student I wanted to promote the use of Heart Rate Monitors in exercise. The business went online in 1999. In 14 years we sold HRM's to over 300,000 customers.

After a short retail back we're now back with the new online store selling ONLY Polar. We still offer impartial advice & test other heart rate monitor brands. Our aim however, is to introduce you to Polar's products as an alternative to Garmin, Fitbit, Suunto or TomTom.
