suits athletes - fitness enthusiasts. Runners, cyclists, fell runners,
joggers, rowers, triathletes etc, will all benefit from the inclusion

Optionally, if used with the new 3D GPS unit, it can provide both
vertical and horizontal performance data including altitude
BHIP
COMMENT : Timex have 100% got it all together in this great modular
unit. They have added multi heart rate zone training, interval sessions
and 3D functionality to this Timex 5F001. A combination of heart rate zones, optional speed
/ pace zones, auto-lapping, time based intervals plus Finish Time predictor
(when using GPS 3D unit) make this unit truly universal for all outdoor
sports. For fitness training, the best new feature is the FINISH
TIME predicor. You tell it you are running a 10K, it works out your
finish time based on current speed and distance travelled so far. This
is continually updated while you run to help you achieve your PB. To
use this feature, you must purchase the optional GPS unit.

HEART
RATE function of Timex 5F001 Heart Rate Monitor
|
8
x Heart Rate Training zones : 5 x AutoSet Training Zones
with 3 x Custom Set HR training zones (100% manually entered).
The 5 x Autoset HR zones are based on the manually entered Maximum
heart rate data that the user enters. They equate to approx
50-60-70-80-90% of max HR.
Interval
Timers
: These heart rate zones can be associated to the 4 x countdown
timers and the warm up timer and the count down timer. The sequence
of 4 x countdown timers can be set to repeat from 1 - 99 times
if required. You may use 1,2,3 or all 4 timers if required.
Audible
Alert to BLEEP when you are either above, below, abve and
below your heart rate zone
HR
Recovery, the amount of beats per minute that one recovers
by within a preset window of time, i.e 85 bpm in 1min 30 secs.
Max
Heart Rate, you may manually enter your max heart rate.
This is then used to set the 5 x preset heart rate training
zones which are calculated as a percentage of max Heart Rate,
i.e. zone 1 : 50-59% of Max, zone 2 : 60-69% etc.
