The altimeter
functions make Suunto X3HR particularly well suited for sports in

these types of activities, the cumulative ascent is an especially
useful gauge of performance. Additionally, the weather functions assist
in forecasting the conditions and planning the days activities.
Compact, lightweight

a regular wristwatch. In comparison to ordinary heart rate monitors,
it goes one step further and is an easy-to-use and versatile wristop
computer for both athletes and people with active lifestyles who train
systematically to achieve goals and actively monitor and analyze their

owners comments. The X3HR is a serious performance tool. It offers a
"proper stopwatch" with laps and splits. For post-performance
assessment, Suunto X3HR stores data on training duration; average, minimum
and maximum heart rate; cumulative ascent and descent; and the highest
and lowest altitude in the training session. It can also store up to
10 split/lap times with the heart rate in each training file. The memory
can hold data for up to 10 training sessions.
We
rate this model very highly. If you want quality and something a little
different, then the Suunto X3HR is a great choice. Please note,
this unit is mid-large sized. It may not fit SMALL wristed customers.

Control your

The combination
of an altimeter and a heart rate monitor make Suunto X3HR a practical
tool in all outdoor and endurance sports. A unique new feature that
displays the average heart rate in real-time throughout the training
session, makes training level management easier than ever before.
A graphical display continuously indicates the current heart rate
in relation to the target zone, helping control the training intensity
even when training within the target zone limits. The interval timer
assists in circuit training and interval training.
Know your environment
The altimeter
supports navigation and gives you interesting information when you
are on the move in nature. The barometer and thermometer give you
essential information that helps you estimate what the weather is
going to do.

- Interval Trainer. the Suunto X3HR has 2 x Interval timers. These
can be used to repeat, for example, effort - rest, effort - rest (2
mins, 10 mins etc). There is an audible warning each time the interval
timer reaches zero, and before the next one starts.

- Adjustable heart rate limits alarm with visual "sliding scale"
to show, at a glance, where your heart rate is in relation to your
chosen zones.
Training Memory (site owners comments):
- Capacity for 10 x training sessions. There are not many HRM's that
allow the user to store more than one session in memory. The Suunto
X3HR allows the user to store up to 10 seesions for recall at your
convenience. This is great if you are breaking your sessions down
in to more than one interval (i.e use session 1 for a warm up, stop
and store that, then use session 2 for actual training effort, then
stop and store, then use a third session to monitor your cool down).
This function is also very useful if you are away from home and do
not have access to your training log..
