We are also
pleased to retail the Suunto Memory Belt that can
be worn with or WITHOUT a watch and downloaded later. The Memory Belt even
has a heart rate zone alarm, set via the PC link. The Memory Belt
is ideal for heart rate monitoring in the pool, on the
pitch, or any environment which prohibits the wearing of a wrist
watch.
As well as recording to BEAT to BEAT (R-R interval) level, the MEMORY BELT transmits the data to a Suunto wrist unit like the Suunto T3, T4 or T6 (including new "C" series).
The heart rate data stored in the MEMORY BELT is the same as that stored in the T6 / T6C. The Suunto Memory belt will record up to 200,000 heart beats, in any number of files. That's about 22 hours at an average heart rate of 150bpm. This can be one BIG file or, for example, 11 x 2 hour training sessions. This means the belt can be taken away for a week and given back to the coach/trainer a week later to check progress via PC download.
For team sports monitoring / group heart rate monitoring, the Memory Belt can be worn to record ALL the heart rate data (for download later), at the same time transmitting the heart rate data to the Suunto TEAM POD for LIVE review by coach / trainer.
The Suunto Memory belt data can be downloaded to the Suunto TRAINING MANAGER software (included with a Memory belt). Once downloaded the coach, or user, has access to full heart rate versus TIME data, plus EPOC, Training Effect and more. To see some examples of screen shots from the TRAINING MANAGER software, please scroll down..... thank you. Please note : the MEMORY BELT will NOT link/pair with any of the speed and distance PODS, just the T3/4/6 wrist units. This means you will NOT be able to retrieve SPEED and DISTANCE data from the MEMORY BELT, just pure heart rate data.
TRIATHLETES requirements. A popular choice for a TRIATHLETE is a Suunto T3C / T4C or T6C with a MEMORY BELT swap out. When swimming, the MEMORY BELT is recording ALL the heart rate activity plus training time, the wrist watch is just acting as a stop watch at this moment) - TRANSITION - the MEMORY belt is still internally storing HR data, but it is now also TRANSMITTING the HR data to the wrist unit, so the user has access to HEART RATE plus BIKE SPEED and PEDAL CADENCE - TRANSITION - the wrist unit will now PAIR with the FOOT POD so the user now has access to HEART RATE plus RUNNING PACE and DISTANCE... Assuming the LAP button is used at each transition, the user has a full chrono breakdown of the event, PLUS, in the watch, there is a detailed analysis of BIKE/RUN speed, distance, pace data, PLUS, in the MEMORY BELT there is a FULL recording of total heart rate activity from start to finish.... |
