What is strapless heart rate monitoring?

A note on strapless heart rate monitoring. Strapless heart rate monitoring is an accurate method of measuring heart rate without the need to use a chest strap. We do NOT sell cheap pulse detecting (motion / optical sensing) watches as we have found them to be very unreliable. Please view this PDF document for more information on strapless HRM's All of the above units will give a current, ECG accurate, heart rate reading measuring the electrical stimulation of the heart. PLEASE NOTE. These units require the user to put 2 fingers on the sensors for a time between 4 and 12 seconds to get a reading. They provide heart rate ON DEMAND only. They do not give a constant heart rate reading. For general exercise, jogging, rowing, gym work etc, we would recommend a chest strap type heart rate monitor. However, for casual monitoring, as and when required, these strapless heart rate monitors are ideal
