What is strapless heart rate monitoring?A note on strapless heart rate monitoring. Strapless heart rate monitoring is an accurate method of measuring heart rate without the need to use a chest strap. We do NOT sell cheap pulse detecting (motion / optical sensing) watches as we have found them to be very unreliable. Please view this PDF document for more information on strapless HRM's All of the above units will give a current, ECG accurate, heart rate reading measuring the electrical stimulation of the heart. PLEASE NOTE. These units require the user to put 2 fingers on the sensors for a time between 4 and 12 seconds to get a reading. They provide heart rate ON DEMAND only. They do not give a constant heart rate reading. For general exercise, jogging, rowing, gym work etc, we would recommend a chest strap type heart rate monitor. However, for casual monitoring, as and when required, these strapless heart rate monitors are ideal. For the best of both worlds, we have the NEW REEBOK HYBRID dual technology heart rate monitor. The REEBOK HYBRID heart rate monitor works both with a chest strap, for continuous heart rate, or without for heart rate on demand. |
