How to Measure Your Heart Rate

Getting a reading of your pulse with your new pulse watch

To get your Heart Rate - Pulse reading, just follow these three simple steps:

1. Place the watch on your wrist, adjusting for a snug, comfortable fit.
2. Place your fingers on the Heart Rate - pulse monitors two sensors, as shown, and press gently for 3-8 seconds. Be sure to activate the Heart Rate mode by pressing the bottom metal sensor so that the display flashes. It is best to use the flat ‘pads’ of your fingers, and not the fingertips.
3. A ‘beep’ will sound and your Heart Rate / Pulse will be displayed. It’s that easy!
4. Because the Heart Rate Watch is a sensitive monitoring device that responds to your ECG signals, reading times may vary. If you don’t get a reading within 3-8 seconds, wait a couple of minutes and try again. This gives the Heart Rate Watch a chance to settle in and pick up your electrical signals.
5. Once measured, your Heart Rate / Pulse will remain displayed for 7 seconds after you release the sensor button.
