Ltd summary - Polar RS800G3
The RS800G3 is simply a standard RS800 packaged WITH the Polar G3 GPS unit and a Polar USB IR interface for PC download. It's a sophistacted HRM so we are afraid
you will need to read the manual to get the most out of it. VIEW THE MANUAL - Polar RS800 online manual here - this is the generic RS800 manual so it includes info about the optional Polar S3 stride sensor
What is the Polar RS800 range ? It is basically a replacement to the ever popular S610i/S810i with additional GPS support
It does everything that those models did, plus : ability to support the Polar G£ GPS unit and the optional Polar S3 foot pod providing : running cadence (strides per min) and running stride length. The Polar RS800 also provides the user with R-R interval recording, improved IR communication, new WIND Wearlink DIGITAL belt working at 2.4GHz (will not interface with gym equipment)
VIEW THE MANUAL - Polar RS800 online manual here - this is the best way to get a real feel for this highly technical product, so please browse it online at your leisure - PLEASE NOTE - the online manual covers all the RS800 range, so it mentions stride length etc - this is NOT a feature of this package - you need the Polar S3 stride sensor for this..
If you would rather have a foot pod based system that can provide RUNNING LEG CADENCE and STRIDE LENGTH, please consider the Polar RS800SD,
same functions as this - but NO GPS - instead the Polar S3 foot pod giving running
speed and distance. The foot pod unit can be added later if
you wish to

RS800 comes with Polar PPPSW version 5 Please click for detailed screen grabs
User
is able to manage an online training diary on Polar's own fitness
training website. Summary data is stored per session, i.e max,
min, time in zones, distance etc.
The user may also manage and maintain a heart rate training diary locally - on your home PC - using the supplied Polar software. The heart rate data is transferred using INFRA RED. The Polar RS800 and RS800SD comes with the very latest Polar Precision Performance software version 5

Polar RS800G3 - with GPS
IN STOCK - POLAR RS800G3 GPS
Heart Rate Monitor with GPS
This is end of line product of the very popular Polar RS800G3 with GPS. What's the difference between this and the new RS800CX MULTI? The RS800G3 will NOT download TRACK data to Google Earth or similar. The RS800 G3 will NOT support the Polar WIND bike speed / cadence sensor.
If you just want MULTI SPORT speed and distance while training outdoors - the Polar RS8000 G3 is the perfect partner...
Polar RS800G3 Heart
Rate Monitor - the previous top of the range Polar RS800G3 with GPS heart rate monitor has been specifically designed for ALL outdoor activities. It is just as at home with runners as it is with cyclists, sailors, horseriders, skiiers etc etc. All the benefits of the RS800 PLUS advanced WIND connected GPS for accurate speed and distance monitoring.
Quick change training zones, clearer identification
of current HR intensity and improved crosstalk prevention to avoid unwanted interference.
NOTE : The RS800G3 will NOT provide stride length and running leg cadence measurement. If you want that feature, you MUST use the Polar S3 stride sensor/foot pod unit.
In the opinion of the staff at BHIP Ltd, the RS800 was the most TECHNICALLY COMPETENT HRM for RUNNERS and SPORTS SCIENTISTS available on the market. It knocks spots off the previously succesful Polar S810i and Polar S625x. The GPS functionality now takes it to CROSS SPORTS users, triathletes, duathletes, sailors, hikers, etc etc.
Comes
with new Wearlink WIND (2.4GHz) chest strap
will not interface with popular gym equipment

- SELF CHANGE battery in Watch and Transmitter
- VIEW THE MANUAL - Polar RS800 online manual here
- Time of
day
with hours minutes and seconds
- Day date
- 5 x heart
rate training zones with audible heart rate alarm - these are
automatically set by the Polar RS800. You may choose to set your
own HR zone if you wish in manual mode. To help get the optimum
zone you can use the OwnZone, see below. For more information on the Polar SPORT ZONES, follow this link.
- Polar OwnOptimizer, This is a unique feature of the Polar heart rate monitors. It is a very useful tool for illustrating when the user is under training or over training. The Polar OwnOptimizer uses heart rate variability to calculate the value of current training load
- Polar Running Index : another unique and very valuable feature of these new Polar RS series heart rate monitors. The Running Index is a value based on how far you can run, in a given time taking in to account the actual heart rate throughout. Graphically reviewing your Running Index over a period of time can clearly show an increase in performance and fitness
- Polar
OwnIndex, resting heart rate test giving an approximate
VO2 max figure and indication of fitness. The Polar RS800 includes
a Fitness test trend graph, this can show, graphically, improvements
in you Fitness score over time.
- Comes with Polar ProTrainer version 5 - click this link to view some screen grabs from this new, and very analytical software
- Polar
OwnZone - automatic calculation of training zone intensity
with audible and visual alarms - The Polar RS800 allows you to let
the heart rate monitor set your training zone for you. This is generally
about 65-85% of Max HR. The training zone is determined by the watch
following a 5 minute walking / jogging test. You may choose to accept
this zone or use your own manually prescribed one or one of the
5 Polar Zones.
- Polar
OwnCal - calorie expenditure
- Polar RS800 TRAINING PROGRAMME : You can create and download a personalized training program to your Polar RS800 and Polar RS800SD running computer by using Polar ProTrainer 5.
- Running STRIDE length and CADENCE (strides per minute) THese features are available when the Polar RS800 is used with the Polar S3 FOOT POD (optional extra) -** only when used with S3 stride sensor **
- 99 lap /
split stopwatch with 1/100 second resolution. This is useful
when doing interval work, fartleks, or running a distance marked
race and wish to collect and then recall mile / km times. When the
user presses lap, the display of the Polar RS800 freezes for a few
seconds and shows lap time, average HR and lap number, it then moves
on to split time (total elapsed time since start). The display then
reverts back to user selected options.
- Flexible
Display : The Polar RS800 has a flexible display and allows
the user to view the data that is most important to them, i.e. Calories,
Total Time, Lap Time and Heart Rate.
- Multi-shoe support. Allows users to set different calibration levles for different shoes, i.e. SHOE 1 could be a hard racing flat, SHOE 2 could be a heavily cushioned distance trainer. ** only when used with Polar S3 stride sensor **.
- File Recall
: The Polar RS800G3 GPS creates a "file" for each session
over 1 minute. The training file contains the following information.Date
and start time, duration of exercise, average heart rate (in bpm
or %), maximum heart rate (bpm or %), training zone(s) applied,
time in this zone(s), time above the zone(s) and time below zone(s).
Total calories burnt during session. A bargraph of time spent in
the 5 x Polar Sports Zones with total time spent in each of the
5 zones.
- Laps / Splits
:If the lap function has been pressed the Polar RS 800 will also
recall number of laps, best lap time, lap time with average heart
rate and heart rate at end of lap. Number
of laps, average lap time, best lap time, average and max HR per
lap, end heart rate of each lap, lap number, split time, average
pace of lap.
- Altimeter ** (please read): (also see post exercise feedback of Polar RS800 and Polar RS800SD)
## NOT FOUND ON RS400/RS400SD ##
- Long term
files : The Polar RS800G3 also has a 16 week view memory file and
a total view file option. The weekly view gives calories burnt,
duration of exercise, time spent in different Polar Sports Zones.
The Totals gives total duration, total calories, total exercise
count. You can reset these whenever you wish.
- Intervals
: The Polar RS800G3 has a 3 segment interval trainer. You may choose
to use 1, 2 or all 3 segments. The segments autorepeat one after
another if required. An example would be 10 mins in HR Zone 1, 6
mins in Zone 2 then 2 mins in Zone 3, then repeat. Click this link for more details about Polar RS800 G3 intervals.
- Foot
Pod - You can add the Polar S3 foot pod to the Polar RS800
at anytime to give it FULL RS800SD functionality - including running cadence and stride length
- SELF CHANGE BATTERY in both the Polar RS800G3 watch (CR2032), the Wearlink W.I.N.D heart rate chest transmitter (CR2032) and the Polar G3 GPS sensor (AA)
