Further BHIP Ltd comment : Having now spent some time playing with this new Polar FT80 we felt it necessary to report on just how good this new Polar FT80 actually is. The first thing we have to say is that is the best looking, best made, sleekest Polar HRM we have ever seen, just 1cm deep - with "proper" metal outer case and buttons with glass / ceramic face - no plastic - apart from a very soft polyurethane strap....

Aesthetics aside - it has 2 x new great features. The built in cardiovascular training program to monitor and plan your daily / weekly training schedules. It also has up to 3 x Strength Training programs (stored in the watch) that can be personalised to suit your specific requirements. The watch will prompt what exercise you are to do, how many sets/reps and at what weight (all manually adjustable). it even monitors your heart rate between reps to ensure adequate recovery... EXCELLENT - well done Polar
