Polar F6
HRM - midsized version
with % of calories coming from fat burning

POLAR - Heart Rate Monitors range
Note - does not include new 2008 models
The Polar
F6 heart rate monitor has all of the essential heart rate functions
for the fitness enthusiast who wants to train "in zone"
and optimise their training sessions. The Polar F6 Heart Monitor has
the same functionality as the Polar F5, plus "crosstalk coding",
% of fat burn calories, an exercise diary and automatic training zone
calculation. © BHIP Ltd 208
The
Polar F6 heart rate monitors are HR compatible with most popular makes
of CV gym equipment.
Polar F6 HRM
functionality
- Time of Day
- Continuous
ECG accurate Heart Rate
- Polar F6 can
display heart rate as either BPM (beats per minute or % of max HR)
- Target Zone
training alarm. This can be based on % HR or BPM. The alarm will
"bleep" when you over/under train. It is possible to set
the alarm to quiet, off, or loud
- Polar
OwnCal - calorie expenditure with % of fat burn calories. This is a very useful feature to optimise
fat burning time while exercising, prevents over training and helps
burn more fat calories
- Polar
OwnZone - automatic calculation of training zone intensity with
audible and visual alarms - The Polar F6 allows you to choose between
hard, moderate, light or basic intensity (80-90%, 70-80%, 60-70%
and basic at 65-85% of Max HR). This can also be changed while exercising.
This is a great improvement to the older M series. This feature
makes the Polar F6 suitable for all abilities from novice to high
performer.
- Polar OwnCode
- analogue coded transmission to prevent crosstalk with other HRM
users
- Uses the Polar
Soniclink transfer of data to send training information to/from
Polar fitness trainer website.
- Exercise Diary
- the last weeks worth of exercise data can be reviewed to show
calories burnt, how many times you've exercised, exercise time and
time in light, moderate and hard exercise zones.
- Recall of training
data through - "files" menu. The Polar F6 has an extensive
recall system giving access to the last 12 exercise sessions. Data
recalled includes duration, calories burnt and % of fat calories,
maximum heart rate, average heart rate and time in training zone.
- Stopwatch -
exercise duration
- Fitness bullets
- a fitness bullet will appear on the top line of the display, one
for every 10 minutes spent inside your training zone
- Realtime, while
exercising, "time in target zone" indicator. This is useful
when specifically trying to achieve, for example, 35 minutes in
cardio improvement zone.
- Realtime, while
exercising, display of calories burnt. Similar to the "time
in zone" indicator this is another good target to aim for.
- Total Exercise
time with summary of average heart rate
- Large, easy
to read digits
- Water Resistant
to 30m
- Daily Alarm
- Back Light
- Free,
exclusively to heartratemonitor.co.uk, our 16 page heart rate monitor
training guide, helping you get the most from your new HRM
- Midsized (unisex)
wrist unit, suitable for most male and female wrist sizes.
May be a bit big for a petite wrist, for example small female or
child.
