The Oregon Scientific SE211 heart rate monitor allows the user to enter age, sex, weight, height and activity level. The "SMART Trainer" programme will then provide sensible HR limits for the user, with a 5 min warm up and 30 min exercise. The user can change any of these parameters if they wish to use their own figures.

These units also give an indication of calories burnt, fat burning optimisation as % calories coming from fat burning, % of time spent in selected zone and average heart rate.
