owners comments about the Navman 300 series GPS speed and distance monitors:
The Navman is worn on the upper arm. It wieghs less than 130g and measures
7.9cm x 7.9cm x 2.7cm deep
It
does take a few sessions to get used to it, but once accustomed
to the unit being on your upper arm, as opposed to the wrist
like the Garmin ForeRunner. After a few sessions you will forget
it is there, it is comfortable and convenient.

Important
note: When used
outside, suburban residential, on water, away from dense tree
cover, with clear view of the sky, these GPS units are highly
recommended. However, if you are training in an area with a
lot of obscured sky, for example in a major city, London,
Manchester etc, we would be cautious in recommending the use of
the Garmin / Navman GPS type SDM's due to potential weak GPS signal
from tall building shadowing. If the majority of your time training
is between tall buildings (4 storey or more) on both sides, then
it is possible you will suffer loss of satellite signal and the
units' accuracy may be compromised.
BHIP
Ltd cannot accept a unit back for refund if it's failure is due
only to the training environment unless it is in 100% as new condition,
including all packaging. If you are training around a "normal"
suburban town with 2 - 3 storey buildings either side of the streets,
you should be fine. The clearer view of the sky, the higher the
level of accuracy. Please bear this in mind the first time you
test the unit.
