Plan a Route - Route Planning on your handheld GPS
So you've got a Garmin Edge 205 / 305, or a Garmin Forerunner 201/301/205/305 and you want to be able to PRE-PLAN an unvisited route.... well now you can with Memory Map digital Ordnance Survey mapping.
Using the very latest MEMORY MAP Ordnance Survey maps you can plan a 100 waypoint route from the comfort of your armchair. This ROUTE is then transferred to the Garmin GPS device (or Road Angel Adventurer 7000,something we sell here)
It is very easy to use this software. Simply plot your track waypoints, adding only the necessary major directional change waypoints with the MEMORY MAP software. Plot a route with up to 100 waypoints (for Garmin Edge and Forerunner). Then transfer the ROUTE from the MEMORY MAP software to the Garmin GPS device (using the standard USB cable) or to the Road Angel Adventurer 7000 (using the USB cable and Microsoft Active Synch)
As with all the products that BHIP Ltd sell, we have personal experience of both the MEMORY MAP software and the use of it with Garmin Forerunner and Garmin Edge GPS units.
SIMPLY choose the region that is most suitable for your requirements. Each Memory Map CD is £50 for the region of your choice with 1:50,000 scale. Unfortunately, some regions do overlap at an inconvenient location. There are two ways around this... buy the two best fit packages, eg, for us in the WASH, North Norfolk it would have to be Memory Maps 2 and 4. Alternatively, there is a PERSONAL SELECTION Memory Map option. This allows the user to select an area up to 2,500KM square. The CD ROM provides a 1:250,000 map. The customer selects their desired area and MEMORY MAP will build them a personalised digital map at 1:25,000 scale = £85.00
NOTE. If you would like to have AERIAL PHOTOGRAPHY included in the map, as illustrated, please select the PREMIUM EDITION. There is no other difference between PREMIUM Memory Map software and STANDARD other than the AERIAL PHOTOs.
