Based on the
popular CardioSport Focus 20 and Focus 30, these new "GREAT
VALUE" heart rate monitors have been made available with
a BULK purchase discount. They come in a plain cardboard box with
instructions and the lifetime warranty (self change battery) CardioSport
/ BHip chest transmitter. Both of these heart rate monitors have
a heart rate zone alarm with a good memory recall (average heart
rate, max HR and min HR). Both of these heart rate monitors have
time of day, stopwatch and countdown alarm (that will auto repeat
fro intervals). A very useful function of these monitors is the
scan facility which "scrolls" through maximum, average
and minimum heart rate per session. This
unit, as with all CardioSport monitors, is compatible with most
popular gym equipment.
The BHip
12 has 3 more functions than the BHip 9 (differences
are shown in red) These are Heart Rate recovery timer,
calories burnt and "time in zone".
What really
impressed us with the BHip 12 heart rate monitor was the manually
programmable heart rate recovery zone. This times how long
it takes you to recover from a pre-selected heart rate to a pre-selected
recovery rate, eg. from 165 to 120. This figure, when performed
over a period of time, should give you an indication if your getting
fitter, and recovering faster.

note: although manufactured by "Pulse TIme Ltd" (a
CardioSport company) there is no manufacturer's marking on these
units other than "BHip 9 / 12"
