Something like this can save several seconds during a triathlon... even helping you to your next PB. The Garmin Forerunner 910XT has on-board barometric altimeter for improved elevation data, all without sacrificing the size of its easy-to-read display or 20 hour battery life.
The Forerunner 910XT will interface with any ANT+ heart rate, bike speed, bike cadence, or power sensors.
Garmin Forerunner 910xt providing swim metrics: With the Garmin Forerunner 910XT swimming will never be the same again. The Forerunner 910xt has been designed for both open water and pool swimming. The Garmin Forerunner 910XT is water resistant to 50 meters and is Garmin’s first multisport watch to offer extensive swim metrics, including swim distance, stroke count, swim efficiency and swim pace.
The Garmin Forerunner 910XT can compute a swimmer’s SWOLF score – the sum of the time for one length plus the number of strokes for that length. As a clear measure of swimming efficiency, the lower the SWOLF score, the more efficient the swimmer is. When in the open water, the Garmin Forerunner 910XT will use GPS to record the path that you swam. This way you can review afterwards on a map in Garmin Connect, and its robust design and easy operation make it suited for other water sports, including paddle boarding, kayaking and windsurfing to name a few.
Monitor your transition times - just ONE button to press: When you are ready to jump out of the water and onto your bike, the Garmin Forerunner 910XT can be moved quickly and simply from wrist to handlebar with the optional quick release and bike mounts. Garmin Forerunner 910XT categorises multisport activities in one workout, transitions between disciplines at the press of a button, and can also log transition time in the process, so triathletes can analyze their performance from start to finish. And with up to 20 hours of battery life, even hardcore endurance athletes can push themselves further than ever.
Monitor your performance: Garmin Forerunner 910XT uses a vibration motor for alerts such as heart rate, pace/speed and distance when audible tones cannot be heard). With the heart rate monitor, Forerunner 910XT also allows athletes to track their training intensity via the Training Effect feature. By inputting key information into the watch, a user can measure the impact of every run and bike session on their aerobic fitness.
Virtual Racer: Race against the clock with the Garmin Forerunner 910XT Virtual Racer™. With this feature the Garmin has an answer for every excuse - - users can now race against themselves over their previous bests or against other users’ times. These can be taken from activities stored on the watch or downloaded wirelessly from the huge and expanding Garmin Connect™ community. Garmin Connect users can quickly log their workouts, track totals, set goals, share workouts with training partners, coach’s, friends and family and participate in an online fitness community of close to 100 million activities around the world. Also, users can now create and plan workouts, and even design courses and send it all directly to your 910XT. Garmin Connect displays time, distance, pace, elevation, power and heart rate and more.
Vector Ready - POWER PEDALs : The Garmin Forerunner 910XT will sync wirelessly through ANT+™ technology with Garmin heart rate monitors and foot pods, compatible third-party fitness equipment and power meters, and the user’s PC or Mac for automatic data download. The Garmin Forerunner 910XT is compatible with Garmin’s power meter Vector™ and display independent left/right power.

What Garmin say about their new Garmin Forerunner 910XT
You swim. You bike. You run. You obsess over data and details. So do we. And we’ve just perfected your new training partner. Forerunner 910XT is the only all-in-one, GPS-enabled device that provides detailed swim metrics and tracks distance, pace, elevation and heart rate¹ for running and cycling. It sports a sleek profile, comfy wristband and an easy-to-read display.
Dive In
Designed for open water and pool swimming, Garmin Forerunner 910XT is water resistant to 50 m (164 ft). It’s our first multisport watch to offer extensive swim metrics, including swim distance, stroke identification, stroke count and pool lengths. It also computes your swolf score to help you gauge your swimming efficiency. (Swolf is a combination of the words ‘swim’ and ‘golf’ and it is a way of calculating a swimmer’s efficiency. To find your Swolf score your lap time is added to the number of strokes you have taken. Eg. if it takes you 20 seconds to swim a lap and you took 15 strokes your score would be 35.) The 910XT’s robust design and easy operations make it suited for other water sports, including paddle boarding.

Because it’s GPS-enabled, Garmin Forerunner 910XT even captures the path you travelled so you can view it later on a map in our free online community, Garmin Connect™. This feature can help you analyze your open water swimming and adjust your technique as needed.
Transition Seamlessly
Whether you’re training or racing, every second counts, so the Garmin Forerunner 910XT makes it easy and seamless to transition between sports. The auto multisport feature lets you switch sport modes with just 1 button press, so you don’t lose precious seconds in transition. The optional quick release mount allows you to move the 910XT easily from wrist to bike.
Try it Dry
On land, Forerunner 910XT offers many of the features of Garmin’s advanced cycling computers and sportswatches to accurately capture your time, distance, speed or pace and more. The 910XT is our first multisport device to incorporate a barometric altimeter for highly accurate elevation data, including ascent, descent and grade. Configurable data fields let you customize multiple training pages for each sport. Set up vibration alerts to give a silent nudge when you hit a split, when it’s time to take nutrition or if you need a little feedback to stay within range of your goals. With these high-level features and up to 20 hours of battery life, the 910XT is ideal for athletes training for ultras or iron distance tris.
Take it to the Next Level
For advanced training, the Garmin Forerunner 910XT is compatible with ANT+™ sensors, including the optional speed/cadence sensor for cycling or premium heart rate monitor (included with some models). You can pair the 910XT with an existing ANT+ heart rate monitor or purchase as an accessory.
And for those data-driven athletes, the 910XT also is compatible with ANT+ power meters, like Vector™, Garmin’s pedal-based power meter.
