As with many new products, manufacturers are always trying to improve the performance of their units. Garmin, being the nice people they are, have made keeping up to date simple. The operating firmware that makes the Garmin Forerunner 201 work can be upgraded by the customer to include the very latest upgrades, patches, fixes, not yet factory installed on current UK stock.

We ship with a minumum version of 3.50 . Please ensure that you check with any alternative supplier that it is also at least V3.50, especially if you do not have PC and internet access, otherwise you may miss out on "interval training options" and the benefit from smoother speed / pace graphs

1. Improvements to prevent some bad GPS locations from going into track
log. Should smooth out the speed/pace graphs.
