The Cardiosport Xtreme - SORRY OBSOLETE

The Xtreme is going to prove to be a massive seller. This has everything you need for serious HR training, with the exception of a PC interface.


The Xtreme has a 100 hour stopwatch with 99 lap memory including lap time, average HR per lap.

This is, as far as I know, the first time CardioSport have introduced interval timers with recovery period, either heart rate, or time based. You can set an interval time to repeat any time from 1 - 20 times. During the interval you can train in Heart Zone 1 or Heart Zone 2. You can change the active Heart Zone as you are exercising. Following the interval, you are then put in to recovery period, this recovery is finished when you chosen time elapses, or you reach a certain HR. This is what makes this new CardioSport HRM stand out above the rest of the range.

The Xtreme also features "CardioZone". A great function that lets you set the target zone while actually exercising. Once a desired workout level has been reached, a key press activates and sets CardioZone, which works like cruise control on a car, keeping you within the selected target zones.

You may have guessed, we like this HRM a lot. Our only criticism, is it's size. Fine if you have medium to thick wrists, but if you have "skinny wrists" it's a lot of watch on a small wrist. Same goes for the GraphX and Heartsafe Sport.
